Last week I started two young beginners in a partner lesson. l plan to write more about how I’m teaching partner lessons later on. Today I made these little alphabet cards for the students in the partner lesson so that they can practice naming the white keys together. I was inspired by Dr. Knerr’s idea of decorating the piano.
I used different colors in the background of the alphabet cards so that you don’t have to print on different pieces of colored paper.
I printed, laminated, and cut out the cards.
Students can then place the cards on the appropriate key on the piano.

Is there a way I can change the background colors to Boomwhacker colors?
Starla, I’ll make one that coordinates with boomwhacker colors and will post later today.
Got the new file uploaded, Starla. Enjoy!
