As a teacher, you’ve probably created various resources for your students. It’s typical of us teachers to make worksheets here or there when we can’t find *exactly* what our students need.
Since starting my website, I have always assumed that if I needed something in my teaching, then another teacher may also need it. That motivated to me to offer free and sold items on my website for teachers.
What if you want to sell your resource to other teachers, but you don’t have an e-commerce website set up? Below are a few ways music teachers can sell digital products without having your own website.
1. Teachers Pay Teachers
A basic seller account is free on Teachers Pay Teachers. You can read more about it here. That means there’s no cost for you to upload your digital resources. There is a 30 cent fee with each sale, plus you get 55% of all sales. Read more about selling on Teachers Pay Teachers here.
2. ConvertKit Commerce
ConvertKit is an email marketing program. It’s the email marketing service I switched to from Mailchimp for my blog. ConvertKit recently added the ability to create pages (ConvertKit Commerce) to sell your digital products. If you don’t have a website, you can create pages with ConvertKit Commerce and then share the page with anyone who wants to buy your digital product or services. You could refer teachers to it when they ask about your resource, or you can promote it on social media.
3. SMP Press (Sheet Music Plus Press)
Have you ever arranged a song for students? Or have you arranged a popular song for your own gigs? You can sell your sheet music arrangements on SMP Press. You can even sell copyrighted popular music through SMP Press. You can read more about it here.
Let me know in the comments below how you’ve been able to sell a digital resource without a website!

Great idea for a post! Might I suggest you add Tim Topham’s new Music Teacher’s Marketplace to that list?! 🙂
Thanks for recommending this! 🙂
