Saying “I can’t” is not allowed in my studio. When a student says “I can’t,” I quickly correct them and say “Yes, you can!” When students say negative comments, it immediately creates mental barriers. Students will surely not be able to overcome an obstacle when they have already stated that they can’t accomplish it. When students say negative, barrier-building comments, encourage them to say alternative sentences that will help them keep a positive attitude. Try some of the suggestions below!
