Online Piano Lessons
Why take online piano lessons?
Meeting with an instructor one-on-one is typically ideal, but there are situations when online lessons may be useful. These include:
- Distance- Students who move away may want to continue lessons from their new location.

Transportation issues/Convenience – Online lessons eliminate travel time!
- Severe weather

Mild Illness
- Student-teacher connection – Sometimes it’s hard to find the right teacher!
Who can take online piano lessons?
Students in grades 2-12 and adults can take piano lessons online.
What do I need to take online piano lessons?
Basic:

An acoustic or digital piano with 88-keys and working pedals

An online conferencing program such as Skype, FaceTime, or Google Hangouts

A tablet, phone, or computer with a built-in or external webcam

A fast internet connection
Enhanced:

A stand to hold phone or tablet

Additional camera for extra angle

A high quality microphone for even better sound quality

A high quality external camera

Headset to reduce echo
What about performing?
If students are interested in performing, they are still able to participate in studio recitals. The audience will be able to see students play on a large TV monitor. There are also online contests available for students.

How can I schedule online lessons?
Parents of students in grades 1-12 should email me to schedule a weekly lesson time. Adult students may purchase a la carte lessons. Please contact Lauren for more information.
