This year, I started using Piano Safari with several students and I’ve had a tremendous amount of success using it.
The creators, Katherine Fisher and Julie Knerr, developed seven different animal technique exercises.
Katherine demonstrates the exercises on this video.
For my students who have learned the exercises, I can easily refer to using a specific technique in their repertoire. I might say something like:
“You need a lot of arm weight here. Remember the lion paw? Use it for this note.” It immediately helps them understand the technique they should use.
For that reason, I made a page with a picture of each exercise so that I could easily refer to an exercise. I plan to hang it in my studio.
Click here to download the PDF.
It includes one page with all seven exercises.
It also includes one exercise per page in case you want to hang up bigger pictures of each or show on a tablet.

I love having the printables as reminders. After watching the piano safari webinar today I was going to compile some pics that I could print on cardstock and laminate for students to collect to put in their “piano safari jungle” progress sheet as they learn each concept. So glad I found this pdf!
