For those of you who are new to using Ready for Theory piano workbooks, here are a few features that are unique for the workbook series.
-
- Comprehensive. The workbooks have everything students need in one place. It’s the ultimate all-in-one workbook for students. Each workbook includes theory, terms, forms, history, and keyboard skills.
-
- Organized and simple. Teachers and students enjoy the simple, organized design of the workbooks. I find that students are easily distracted by excess clutter on the page, so I kept the content of the workbooks as simple as possible.
-
- Review. Most students need ample review to retain new information. Each unit contains several pages for students to practice and review the topic. There are even more review pages on each topic in the back of the workbook. The workbooks might have more than you need for each student, but I like having the extra review pages just in case.
-
- Organized by units. The topics in the workbook are organized by unit so that teachers and students can skip around the workbook. The workbooks do not need to be completed beginning to end.
- Appropriate for any age. A beginning adult student could easily start with the A or B level of the workbook and not feel that it was intended for children.
Here is a comprehensive list of the theory topics in each level.
The piano workbooks are available to purchase here. Each product listing has a few sample pages.
