I don’t know about you, but I always struggle with finding the time to teach ear training during a lesson. With various spring contests approaching, most of the lesson time lately is focused on polishing pieces and keyboard skills.
For the Piano Rally in Louisiana, students have to complete a listening portion on the written theory test. To allow students to practice ear training at home, I made practice tests and audio recordings that can be found on YouTube. Now I can send a student home with a page to complete and we can check it the following week.
The Ear Training Practice Tests include:
- Two practice ear training tests for each Ready for Theory level (Prep A, Prep B, Level 1, Level 2, Level 3, Level 4) – A total of twelve tests!
- An answer key for all twelve tests
- Audio recordings for each test on YouTube
You can find even more information about the Practice Ear Training Tests here.
If you like the tests, please take a minute to leave a review! Your reviews will help other teachers and students who are interested in the tests.
